A couple of weeks ago I decided to head out to Newcastle to capture some images during the "blue hour". That wonderful time just after the sun sets and before the blackness of night starts.
I'm a big fan of long-exposure light-trails so for one shot I set myself up for this...

How did I get this image?
Tripod essential!
Camera: Canon EOS 7Dii
Lens: Canon EF 24-70 f4 L (at 41mm)
ISO100, f11, then 3 bracketed exposures (7secs, 15secs, 30secs)
These 3 RAW image files then HDR Merged using On1 PhotoRaw. This allowed me to bring out shadow detail while not blowing the highlights. Aperture of f11 produced great starbursts on the street lights.
Finally a tweak of the colour temperature just to warm it up a little.
The kerb and yellow line lead you round to the moving traffic and the Tyne Bridge above.
Tell me what you think. Would love to see your comments.
